Honey has many health benefits. Now if you buy honey, you will also benefit society. You will be helping to raise funds to build the first Interreligious Centre for the faithful in Malaysia.
Malaysia is a blessed country with people of different cultural background and religion living harmoniously and peacefully. We are people on earth, we are happy beings thus we are always happy working together for a better cause towards peace and harmony on earth. Interreligious understanding is very important towards unity and harmonious living.
On 10 October 2015, a colloquium event was organised by the Selangor branch of Malaysian Consultative Council of Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Sikhism and Taoism (MCC-BCHST) or in Bahasa Malaysia it is Majlis Perundingan Malaysia Agama Buddha, Kristian, Hindu, Sikh dan Tao. A total of six (6) religions took part in this colloquium. They are Islam, Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism, Sikhism and Taoism. Each religion took turns to host this event in its premise, and this year it was held in Wisma Buddhist in Jalan Kelang Lama, Kuala Lumpur. Tuan Khalid Jaafar represented the Selangor Menteri Besar graced the joyous occasion.
Realising the need to have it own premise for the meeting of Interreligious understanding purposes, therefore, on that day, it was also the official launch of its building fund raising campaign.
The MCC-BCHST Selangor branch is organising a building fund raising campaign to build its very own building catering for all religions. "The building will be used for all administration tasks and event management of all the religions. We will also build a prayer room (surau) for the convenience of our Muslim brothers and sisters" said Dr. Jeffery Cheah, MCC-BCHST Selangor Branch Fund Raising Chairman 2015/2016.
To aid this fund raising campaign, MCC-BCHST Selangor Branch is selling honey. Honey is a sweet food made by bees from the nectar of flowers. (from Wikipedia). The unique flavor and color of honey depends on the blossoms visited by the honey bees. For the health conscious calorie watcher, a teaspoon of honey on average gives 64 calories.
My Honey is homegrown brand processed and filtered from wild honey from Melaka state. There is no preservatives, no additives and coloring added. It is processed to take out the unwanted sugar.
