MTV World Stage Malaysia 2015 Concert

Last weekend is MTV World Stage Malaysia 2015 concert and it was one of the biggest music festival night ever in Malaysia! I was overjoyed when my mom told me that she was offered two VIP tickets to MTV World Stage Malaysia 2015 from Sunway Hospitality. As with every World Stage Concert, the tickets are not for sale and can only be won via MTV Asia or given out by MTV World Stage partners.

Searching for car park in Sunway Pyramid on that day was a havoc as many cars will try to illegal park at every possible empty space. Finally, we took about 30 minutes to find a car park at one of the Sunway office tower and we had to walk for quite a distance to Sunway Lagoon. Every entrance of Sunway Lagoon is filled with concert goers lining up to get inside! Thanks to the VIP tickets, we don't need to line up to because there will be someone escort us to the concert area via a private entrance.

The ambience in Sunway Lagoon is really fun and energetic! Lots of stalls set up along the pathways in Sunway Lagoon and many concert goers are stopping by the stalls to fill up their stomach before the concert starts. There is a VIP area for us where all the refreshments are on the house! There are endless refill of Somersby Apple and Pear Ciders, Asahi Beer, sandwiches, pudding, pastries and cocktail hotdogs. Picnic benches are available for all VIP to rest and enjoy their refreshments.

This year the MTV world stage Malaysia 2015 is hosted by the popular MTV VJs, Alan Wong and Hanli Hoefer. The concert kick-started with Malaysia #MostWanted local singer, Stacy, and Malaysian Rapper Altimet. Stacy performed her upbeat single, "Not For Sales" with a special feature of Altimet, Malaysian rapper. A great way to start the concert!

Next in line is a Japanese band, Sekai No Owari and it is really an interesting performance! They  performed 5 songs starting with "Anti Hero" and ended with "Dragon Night". I like the quirkiness of their performance and the music. It has a fantasy soul kind of feeling and most of the songs they performed are in English although they are japanese!

Apink is up next and they enter the stage with a bang! The crowd are cheering and screaming throughout the whole performance. Their hit songs "Remember" and "LUV" are so popular that the crowd are sing along and dancing with the tune all the time! We can see that there are a lot of Apink's fan that night!

The crowd cheers when Carly Rae Jepsen opened her act with "Run Away with Me". She performed 9 songs that has a mixture of her new songs and hit songs "Call Me Maybe" and "I Really Like You". There was a period of time that the crowd are feeling bored with her songs and I can hear people around saying when will she be finishing her act. Nevertheless, she ended her performance with "I Really Like You" and this song really pump up the crowd and managed get them to sing along!

The last act is by Jason Derulo and he waste no time in pumping up the energy in the crowd! Everyone in the crowd is reacting to every single songs he sang, dance and it is indeed the most electrifying performance of all! The music and the light are constantly going on and Jason Derulo really putting his 100% energy in all of his songs! He performed a 14 songs medley with all his signature dance moves and the crowd is really at it peak! Screams can be heard throughout the whole performance and everyone is dancing and singing along with him!

The concert ended with a burst of fireworks in the sky with Jason Derulo singing his final song. He did an awesome job in pumping up the crowd and uniting the crowd of 25,000 people with his songs! What a splendid way to end my Saturday night!
